We highly recommend Triangle! They handled our move from Queens to the Hudson Valley seamlessly!
Everything arrived intact and our movers were awesome to work with. Fred, Joshua, Craig, Robert A and Vinnie were super respectful of our belongings, lovely to our old dog and they were very friendly over 2 long, stressful days! We would definitely use them again!

Jack Eschbacher - Owner, Triangle MoversThree Tips for a Smooth Military Move With Triangle Movers Near West Point, NY
- Register with the housing office the day your orders arrive. On-post housing at West Point has waitlists, and your position on that list is determined by when you register, not when you arrive.
- Book your mover before your move date is confirmed. Military move seasons fill fast. Securing Triangle Movers early gives you flexibility to adjust dates without losing your spot.
- Keep your orders and moving documentation organized. For PPM moves, Triangle Movers provides itemized invoices to support your reimbursement claim, but tracking your own orders and amendments is your responsibility.

Moving to or From West Point, NY: What Military Families Need to Know
West Point sits approximately 50 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, and moving here comes with logistics that differ from a standard residential move.
- On-post housing is rank-based, and waitlists are common. Neighborhoods including Grey Ghost, Grant, and Stony Lonesome are assigned by rank, and many families move initially into Highland Falls, Newburgh or Cornwall-on-Hudson while waiting for quarters to open up.
- Installation access requires advance coordination. Any moving crew entering West Point without a DoD ID card is subject to a background check at the gate, making it essential to work with a mover who already understands the process.
- Local experience matters here more than anywhere else. Triangle Movers has been operating within 15 miles of West Point since 1996 and knows exactly what to expect at Thayer Gate on moving day.
